Vision has been described as a mixture of The Ring and Videodrome via Hostel. Axelle Carolyn from Doomsday and Centurion plays a young woman who receives a mysterious DVD in the post. Too intrigued not to watch it she soon comes to realise even pressing play was a bad mistake. What's really on the DVD? And what fate awaits her?
Vision has screened all over the world at film festivals in London, New York, Oklahoma, Baltimore, Texas, Belgium, Guernsey and Seoul to name a few.
Jamie, about his inspirations, "I'm really intrigued by and enjoy exploring the darker side of humanity. I've loved horror since discovering Evil Dead when I was about 8 years old. I instantly claimed my Dad's VHS-C camcorder as my own and constantly roped my sister into appearing in my early efforts.
All my films start with an image I have in my head, with Vision it was the image of a silhouetted welder holding a blowtorch, I then constructed the story around that image. I love creating imagery that's burned into people's memories.
Vision is a combination of all the elements I love, from dark, foreboding atmospheres to lo-fi analogue footage with some torture and blood curdling screams thrown in for good measure."
The full film is available to watch below. Please be warned - Vision contains scenes some may find disturbing.
